And the winner is... plastic

Their work is being honored, but plastic surgeons are unlikely to be collecting prizes at this beauty pageant. China's first Miss Plastic Surgery contest, to be held in November this year, is open to any woman in the world who can authenticate their inauthentic looks-with a doctor's certificate to prove that their faces have gone under the scalpel. One woman's rejection from a more conventional beauty pageant sparked off the idea to hold a contest for the surgically enhanced. The 18-year-old was kicked out of the Miss Intercontinental Contest in June and had threatened to sue the organizers of the contest.
